Editorial Standards
When the topic is your money, “trust me” isn’t good enough. Here are the rules we hold ourselves to — in writing — so you can check our work.
Bankverse covers how to move, hold, and spend money across borders. Get it wrong and you don’t lose an afternoon — you lose real money to bad fees or a frozen account. That’s why we hold this site to standards most comparison sites won’t put in writing.
1. Independence above everything
We never accept payment for placement, rankings, or scores. Providers cannot buy their way onto our lists or soften a review. We earn through affiliate commissions (see point 5), and those commissions never influence where a product ranks. Full detail: How We Rate Providers.
2. We verify before we recommend
We never recommend a product without checking its official terms and pricing and cross-checking what real users actually experience. Our ratings are built on the numbers, not the marketing. How We Rate Providers explains the process.
3. Accuracy and sourcing
Every fee, limit, and claim is checked against the provider’s official documentation — and, on questions of safety, against the primary financial regulator (the FCA, FDIC, FINMA, and their equivalents). We cite our sources and date them.
4. We keep it current
Money products change their pricing constantly. Every article shows a visible “last updated” date, and we re-check our fee data monthly. When a provider changes something important, we update the page and note what changed.
5. Total transparency about money
Every page that contains affiliate links says so, clearly, at the top. We explain how we’re funded in plain language. You should never have to wonder whether we have a stake in what you click.
6. Clarity over hype
We write in plain English, not marketing spin. No fake urgency, no invented “limited-time” deals, no burying the catch in the fine print. If something has a downside, we tell you what it is.
7. Real, named authors
Our articles are written by named people with genuine, disclosed experience — not anonymous filler. You can always see who wrote a piece and why they’re qualified to.
8. How we use AI
We use AI tools to help with research and drafting, the way a writer uses a research assistant. But every fee and claim is verified by a human against official sources, every verdict is based on that research plus real user evidence, and every article is edited and signed off by a named person. We don’t publish unchecked, machine-generated filler — that’s the exact opposite of what this site is for.
9. Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it — visibly. Spotted an error or an out-of-date fee? Email hello@bankverse.ch. We’ll verify it, correct the page, and note the update.
10. This is information, not personal advice
We give you tested facts, real numbers, and clear comparisons so you can make your own decision. We don’t know your full situation, so nothing here is personal financial or tax advice — and cross-border tax in particular can get complicated fast. When something is a question for a qualified professional, we’ll say so.
